oh man. this was a big one. it was such an honor to be nominated for a seven daysies award and im still in shock that we made the cut (i only found out a couple hours before writing this - hah!...the best text to wake up to...thanks, mom!)

TGCF is just a small piece of the wellness industry here in vermont and im truly so grateful to have been considered in the "best boutique fitness studio" category in 2024!

NEDA WALK
MAY 4 2024​
​
2024 National Eating Disorder Association walk - the NEDA walk is organized all over the country and works to spread community awareness and raise money for the treatment & support of individuals and families affected by eating disorders.​
​
28.8 million people in the united states alone will be touched by this mental and physical illness during their life - it is not lost on me that the fitness industry can play an upsettingly toxic role in this widespread issue.
​
for this reason, i am beyond grateful to have been an event sponsor in 2023, and also facilitate the warm up before the walk for a 2nd year in a row in 2024 - as most of you know, our mission at take good care fitness is to celebrate the strength and ability of ALL bodies through movement that feels good.

what a wonderful morning of amazingly brave speakers sharing their stories and a group walk to spread awareness - feeling the support of this community was so powerful. and of course, the TGCF fam SHOWED UP (this year we raised OVER $1000! and were a TOP team fundraiser and our very own jocelyn churchill was a TOP individual fundraiser)! i couldn't be more proud of our group!

VERMONT CITY MARATHON
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2023 + 2024​
​
this was our 2nd year cruisin' the streets of burlington on memorial day weekend! our relay team is always made up of TGCF fam members who are seasoned runners, runners for fun-ers, and maybe a couple 'i was gently forced to grab a leg-ers'...and we crushed it! our mission has been and continues to be, 'we just want to finish the race'! it was a blast to clock those miles on may 26th - can't wait for next year!

BURLINGTON PHYSICAL THERAPY
FEBRUARY & APRIL & JUNE 2024 ​
i am super excited to have been able to partner up with the amazing PTs over at burlington physical therapy (a fellow female owned and operated local business!). they offered FREE 30 minute mini sessions devoted to injury/movement screens for TGCF clients at the TGCF studio! i was so honored to share our space - this partnership gave our clients a chance to chat/ask questions about their individual aches/pains/mobility challenges as well as add another resource into their 'wellness tool kit'! hoping to partner up again in the future!! THANK YOU BPT!​
